Swinging Tree

So...if you have never heard of the swinging tree well here you have it. Last weekend Lorie, her girls, Brendan, one of Brendan's friends Seth, Dustin and Lindsey and their kids and my siblings and I went to the swinging tree! It is kinda scary. You are holding onto a rope that is hanging from a tree on the side of the mountain!! Its LOADS of fun!! Here are a few pics! For the adults the goal was first to see who could get the highest and then on to how many spins you can get before you get to the ground. We even got Grandpa and Grandma Lynette on it but my camera died so I wasn't able to get pics of them.

Rain, Rain, and More Rain!!

Yes, we need the rain but really? Come on at least ONE can be a thunderstorm can't it!! It has been raining ALL day here in the little town of Moore Idaho. I am just SO ready for the sun to come out!!

Nose Surgery or Nose Job (as some may call it)

Well before I tell you what happened I better tell you HOW it happened and came to be. Back in 1st grade I broke my nose. We went to the doctor and he said that because it didn't bleed, I didn't break it. Well it was pretty obvious that I did. You could tell in my school pictures. Anyway...last October, in cheer, me and one of my cheer team members hit heads when we caught our flier. Her tooth cut sliced part of her lip and hit my nose. Well after that I had trouble breathing through it. We went in to the doctor and they took x-rays and said that I HAD in fact broken my nose. He gave me some medician to help me so that I could breath. Lets just say...it worked for a bit but it wouldn't last long.
So the doctor sent me over to an ear nose and throat specilist in Idaho Falls. The doctor that I went to said that my seineses were all messed up and bent and what not. He said that he could do surgery and if I wanted he could fix the lump, I guess you could call it, in my nose but cutting some slits in to it. Well, I always wanted to get it fixed after it happened, and mom knew that and so we said yes, we want you to fix it too.
Surgery was then scedualed to happen two days before Thanksgiving. I went in for surgery at 6:30 in the morning. Got preped and went into surgery. While I was still out of it, the doctor told my parents that it was actually worse then he thought it was going to be, but he still was able to fix it.
When I went back to school, they started calling my "MJ" if you get what I am saying. Thats where the term Barbie came into play along with Nose job. Haha it becomes normal after awhile to answer to Barbie. But I really don't care, AT LEAST I CAN BREATHE!! Plus I love my nose. To me it looks different but to others it may not.
Anyway...here are some pictures the day I got out of surgery.

Haha ok, no laughing at Mr. Teady Bear. There was a nurse at the doctors office and while I was waiting to go in for surgery she gave it to me. She said that I might be too old for it but she thought I might like to have a friend in surgery with me.

Long Time No See

Well it has been a long while since I have updated my blog. I guess most of it is because we got moved into our new house and I have been busy with things in school.
To start off, I am now a Freshman at Butte High, a cheerleader, am on the drill team, am finishing up my driver's ed course and am still playing the flute.
Freshman:Being in High School is SO much fun. I am able to not only have friends in my class but in other classes as well. This year I was able to go to Natural Helpers where I got to learn how to help others in different situations. The skills I learned there I am able to use in school.
Cheerleader: I am one of the seven cheerleaders at Butte High. Being a cheerleader is so fun. Through being a cheerleader I have been able to connect with the student body better during games. I was kind of worried about the seniors moving into high school but seeing them at games has helped me not to be afraid of them. I am also a base when we stunt for my stunt group and also a back spot for another stunt group. Go PIRATES!!!!
Drill Team: Mom knows how much I enjoy dancing and after the drill team's first performance she said that she would talk to the teacher and get me on the team because I would help make them look better. So far I have only done one dance with them but I had fun doing it.
Driver's Ed: I am taking driver's ed from the coolest teacher, Mr. Taylor, or as most people know him, Mr. T. He is crazy but always is looking for a way to have fun. I have a few hours left to drive before I have to start my 50 hours of driving with my parents.
Flute: Yes, I am still playing the flute, and if you didn't know I also learned to play the clarinet and the piccolo (a smaller flute that is a higher octave). The interesting thing about being in band is that we also have a pep band, and as it is part of my grade I have to participate. There are two cheerleaders in band Leah and myself. We play warm ups with the pep band in our skirts/ uniform, and after that we have to hurry to stand in line for the National Anthem.
Well I think that is about all that I have been up to.

My Little Finger

Ok, so like about two months ago now, I was playing basketball during lunch and jambed my finger. We didn't think that it was that bad but last month I went into the doctor and he said that is was like the bone was fusing it's self together. So he sent me over to a doctor in Blackfoot, and this doctor said that I would have to wear this brace for a month and then come back and see how it was doing and if it had straightened. Well last Thursday we went back and it still hasn't straightened. He then said that I have to wear the brace while I sleep and when I come back in June if it still hasn't straightened out then I will have to have surgery. But the thing is with this brace, all it feels like it is doing is prying my finger straight. Then when I take it off it goes back down to the shape it's at now. AND what doesn't help is the fact that it is on my LEFT hand. So, you can take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think will happen, but my mom and I think that will end up having surgery. By the way I would show you a picture of what it looks like now but it looks just like the first one.
